Using the finest materials available, each saw is individually crafted to create one of the finest saws ever made. That is a bold
statement, but I fully guarantee that you will feel the same after trying one.
The blade is the heart of a saw, and 1095 spring steel is an ideal material for this purpose. Tempered to Rc 48-51, it strikes a balance between durability and sharpenability.
Each tooth is filed and set by hand to a precise profile, ensuring that it will run clean and true in any wood found in your workshop.
The spines are milled and slotted from solid bar stock. The slots are cut to match the thickness of the plate, then sprung to provide a strong friction fit that will not loosen or shift in normal use.
Although split nuts provide a classic look, the traditional design has one big disadvantage: the thin profile of the split nut offers limited thread engagement, leaving it prone to stripping out when over-tightened. The saw nuts I use are made to my specifications, and have more than twice the thread engagement of any other split nut on the market, while retaining the classic look.
More than just a shapely piece of wood, the handle is were all interaction between the sawyer and the wood occurs. The shape and orientation of the handle both play an important role in comfort and function. Each handle is made from a premium hardwood that is selected for its beauty and function, then carefully sculpted to create an elegant handle that melts into your hand.
Living in a wood-rich region of Pennsylvania, I source my handle woods from local sawmills that air dry their wood whenever possible.
All saws are fully warranted for one year.
