James Swan 10" drawknife (11-030-001) - $40 SOLD

This is a great 10" drawknife from one of the premier tool makers of their time. The blade is stamped "THE JAMES SWAN CO BEST TOOL STEEL", along with their classic swan logo. Also stamped with a "10" (for 10 inches), and "P.D.H." (previous owner's stamp). The graceful handles are tight, with no cracks. The blade is just under 1 1/2" wide, with some small chips that you will want to grind out (they're only about 1/64th of an inch deep). There is some very light pititng on the back side, but most of it is away from the edge. With a good sharpening, it will make an excellent user.
