Stanley Sweetheart No. 25 8 inch bevel gauge with decal (12-012-033) - $27 SOLD

These bevel gauges are a workhorse in most shops, which makes the condition of this one slightly unusual. The rosewood is in good condition, with one dent and some tearout that is original to the gauge. The steel blade still has most of its bluing left, is stamped with a clear "Sweetheart" logo, and is unbent. The brass has a pleasant patina. But best of all, most of the original decal remains on the handle.

The blade is 8" long, and the handle is a little over 5 1/2" long. The recessed locking lever allows one-handed operation, and means that the gauge can be used on both sides.
