I just want these gone, so I am selling them as a set. Not the greatest planes (clunky handles, unmachined frog, etc.), but they are solid and have some potential. The irons have plenty of life left and are not pitted. The smoothing and jack plane are 9 1/4" and 14" long, respectively. Both irons are 2" wide. No cracks or chips in the castings, and the paint is in good nick. The sole and sides have a lovely patina, but no pitting. When cleaned and fettled, they may actually look presentable.
While these will never be mistaken for Lee Valley or Lie-Nielsen tools, they do have a place in your workshop. You won't cry when you need to plane down that painted wood. Or if your neighbor lives by the credo "Every tool is a hammer, except for a chisel, and everyone knows that's a screwdriver", keep these on hand for loaners.
